I was chilling oneday watching a movie, and I found an urge to create a list of movies featuring car sing-along moments. Having sing-alongs in cars is one of the best things, next to karaoke. Am I the only one who feels that way?
This has become the ultimate white girl anthem, BUT, nothing can compare to Terry Crews singing along to this song.
The homage to Queen and the way they work in the five part harmonies into this extended scene is just the best.
I don’t think it’s possible to listen to this song anymore without bopping your head the same way as in this movie. It’s become the necessary assigned dance to 90’s dance music.
Seeing a young girl not care about annoying the adults around her while happily singing along to Mariah Carey is one of the best things ever. All girls should sing Mariah Carey the way Soo-Yung does. Girls, take notes.
A whole family sing-along is precious, but this family is kinda whackadoo. Cute whackadoo, though.
Harry and Lloyd’s interpretation of this song without music in the background is just a classic, and of course, straight up annoying.
The heart and soul that this song brings out in people, even ones you wouldn’t expect, is what makes George Michael just so damn amazing.
It’s funny because The Carpenters were clearly an amazing duo, but most people are afraid to admit them as a “guilty pleasure”. By their reactions to not skipping this song on the radio, Mike & Steve clearly feel that way.
So, I’ve been practicing the rap in this song, but I can’t seem to get the wordplay as well as Kenny. He’s got swag.
Ooooooh barracuuuuuda.
What’s your favorite car sing-along song?
