Ever browse too far up in the photos on your phone, and you spot a picture that makes you go like “oh yeaaah, I remember that!”? That’s how I came across these photos from this project I did before the holidays last year.
My parents moved into their current home last summer, and they’ve done a wonderful job at making it feeling homey even though it’s a super fresh house. It’s become a super comfortable getaway when I want to escape from city life.
Last Christmas, all of my family managed to gather together. Being spread out across the U.S. didn’t stop us, which made it a memorable holiday season.
I was also super into holiday mode making personalized gifts for everyone I knew, and I wanted to make something nice for my parents and their new home.
One of the last rooms in their house that was decorated was their sun room. My mom struggled finding the right decor, so I took initiative and made a fun canvas piece with fake flowers glued all over it.
As usual, I had a basic idea, but just kinda went with the flow when actually executing it.
The canvas piece is hanging up in said sun room, and it’s looking good!
