My brother for the longest time has been saving bottle tops for reasons I don’t really know of. Kinda made me question how much beer he used to drink, but whatever, it was more surface area for me to work with. I played with bottle tops first with these Gwen Stefani magnets I made. And then I carried on and made these fun Veruca Salt magnets.
I mainly used acrylic to paint them all. For the Gwen magnets, I colored and cut out Gwen’s hair from paper and glued them on. For the Veruca Salt, I mostly stuck to painting. It was the first time in a while I used strictly acrylic for a project, which was fun.
I find it’s quite a process to make these magnets, but I live for fun projects like this. It keeps me busy. I especially appreciate when projects include my favorite kind of music from the 90’s.
