Sometimes I crave a good old simple DIY to jazz up my wardrobe. I’ve been seeing shirts with a decorative neckline, being beads, sequins, and/or prints. I, of course, went down the path of a decorative beaded neckline since I have loads of beads.
I picked a random t-shirt I had that could use some bead lovin’. I searched through my array of beads to pick colors that match the shirt and design. Pink was an obvious color, alternating with pearl colored tear drop shaped beads.
It’s an easy project, sewing beads all around the neckline, front and back. And it kinda adds a little bit of a classy element.
Obviously depending on the beads and designs, it could be a fun project for so many other shirts. I’m planning on doing to a handful of more shirts that I own.
And if you’re daring or crafty enough, you should try it on a shirt or two as well! There’s nothing more satisfying than knowing you had a hand in creating a fun and unique wardrobe.
Just throwing it out there – bead party at my place!
