(A few of my favorite bags, which you can find in my shop!)
I find myself living a double life these days. By day, I’m a full time designer at a shoe company. By night, I’m a weaving rookie trying to find time to fit in crafty projects while relaxing and not feeling guilty about taking it easy every so often.
I’ve been trying to treat this year differently than last year. I have clearer set goals, more motivation than I’ve felt in a while, and I’ve been non stop during any spare time I’ve got. Fun fact: I fell asleep just before 10pm last night because I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.
So with that said, I’ve updated my shop last week with a small batch of rag weave tote bags. It’s a nice assortment of color variations and occasional trimmings. The new weaves I’m currently working on will definitely add to the wide assortment of colors because they’re all so different. That’s what I love about this project. Not one bag looks the same, or even similar. It’s exciting to see the different outcomes. So check out my shop if you’re interested. Handmade, recycled fabric, fully lined, and reasonably priced. A good combination if I may say so.
In other news, new tv seasons are starting up which I’ve been looking forward to for months. It’s Always Sunny just began, caught the new series Idiot Sitter, and I’m psyched for new Broad City next month.
Aside from that, I’ve officially found my song for 2016. Even though it’s more likely a stab at the celebrity lifestyle, this Peter Gabriel has been on heavy rotation lately and has been inspiring in a positive way. I’m feeling good vibes about this year being a successful one, and this song has been getting me PUMPED.
