01. The past few months, my coworker has had an 80’s station playing on Pandora, and Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac plays every day. I won’t complain because it’s a great song, but it definitely made me appreciate their other vocalist, Christine McVie. Don’t get me wrong, I love Stevie Nicks and I want to hear her sing everything all the time, but it’s hard to imagine Stevie singing lead on this track. I love bands that share vocal duties, which is what makes Fleetwood Mac such a classic.
02. I’m sure you heard about Little Big Lies, and maybe even watched it. I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s queued up next after I’m finished watching 80’s show Moonlighting. I’ve heard such great things about this show, especially since big great names such as Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Shailene Woodley, along with so many others are in this. The only thing that makes me a little iffy is it being a spinoff of Pretty Little Liars. I can’t say much about that show since I’ve never seen it as for me it gets clumped into the “Gossip Girl” category which is a category I’m not so partial to. Little Big Lies is on the asap list though.
03. Our current administration is officially passed the first 100 days. It’s kinda astonishing we’ve gotten this far. One thing we know for sure is that Trump likes to share false statements. So naturally, Buzzfeed put together 100 lies from Trump’s first 100 days.
04. White Lies came out with new music a year ago, but when I was looking for potential festivals to attend this summer, I saw White Lies part of a few lineups. This is a band that is right up my alley because from the sound of them, they’re a happy middle between Depeche Mode and Interpol. Two band I adore. Unfortunately I won’t be attending any festivals, so I won’t be seeing White Lies this summer.
05. Speaking of Depeche Mode and my favorite vocalist ever, Dave Gahan wrote this song for his second solo album Hourglass. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had this album on repeat since it’s come out. I ran to the store when it was released and I still can’t get enough of it since.
