I like making lists, I think that’s pretty apparent by now. I especially love making themed ones, and my top favorite theme is pop culture. Here is an example.
I gathered references pop culture mainstream moments of when the word banana came into play.
01. An obvious use of banana was from my all time favorite person, Gwen Stefani. She brought our attention to bananas though the drum line song we all know and can’t get enough of. But I figured it was too obvious to add this song into the list, so here’s a video where Gwen schools Stephen Colbert about bananas.
02. I have mixed feelings about Die Antwoord. I find them a little hard to get into. Their sound is not so much up my ally, but I will admit that I find them entertaining and I will fall for the click-bait that involves them. They fascinate me in a weird way. Plus their videos are always cinematic and quite the visual treat.
Anywho, one of their more recents songs is called Banana Brains.
03. Fun fact: my favorite show of all time was and still is Psych. I was there from day one all the way to the last day it aired loving every bit of the shenanigans the main characters were up to. They were chock full of pop culture references which won me over immediately. This example is why I just love them so much:
04. Speaking of Bananarama, (see Psych videos if you don’t know what I’m referencing), here’s is Venus by Bananarama.
This song is such an 80’s classic.
05. It’s interesting to see trends come and go, especially for smaller shops and artists. I’m sure you’ve seen this humungous pin and patch trend happening. Everywhere I turn, I see more pins coming about and it’s pretty awesome seeing this huge huge huge variety of pins offered. Since there’s this huge trend happening, I put together a batch that are banana related. These are fun!

06. And to end this list, here is this hilarious Twitter page featuring banana facts. It’s pretty great.
