My Thankful List

I know I’m two days late with posting my gratitude and thankfulness on Thanksgiving Day, but one thing I’ve become especially thankful for was to know when to take a step back and feel okay with missing a day or two of blog posting. Because let’s face it, stress sucks, and when you’re tired, who has the will power to do something such as put together a blog post? It’s taken me a long time to be okay with that. Responsibilities make me feel guilty, but some things are no longer worth the stress. I’m living life, and I’m thankful to be able to do so.

The things I’m especially thankful and appreciative for is having my loving family, to have had the chance to spend time with my aunt before she passed, my supportive friends, easy going roommate, stressful but rewarding job, and cute apartment.

Some other recent trivial things I’ve been thankful for include:

My Favorite Murder podcast I can’t get enough of. Having headphones on at work listening to this podcast has kept me super stress-free and productive.
NuWave Cooktop – I have a bit of a fear of my gas oven and I had quite the difficulty adjusting. This hotplate has saved me.
Novelty Multicolored Pens are obsession worthy. And I’m thankful they exist.
★ Really, escalators and elevators are something we take for granted. You don’t realize how much you need the assistance ascending or descending when they’re out of order.
★ I haven’t used my sewing machine much this year, but I love it to death and I’m grateful for being able to finish projects much faster than when hand sewing. I have so many projects coming up in which this handy dandy machine will serve me so much purpose. My precious baby.
★ I know, maybe a little excessive, but with the Trump presidency coming into actualization, it feels that all hell has been breaking loose. People have been acting up and I’m thankful to be able to defend myself with my pepper spray if there’s any unfortunate occurrence to happen. Doesn’t hurt to be prepared?
★ I’m thankful to have come across this Mod Podge Hard Coat. I’ve been using the standard glossy for years and it just felt like it hasn’t been doing much for me. Since discovering the plethora of Mod Podge glues, I’ve fallen in love with this hard coat.

There are honestly so many things to be thankful for. Some obvious things, other obscure, and a lot stupid and trivial. I’m just thankful to be doing what I’m doing, and it’s a step up from my position last year. I’ve made so much progress and I’m excited to see what my thankful list will look like next year.

Happy belated Thanksgiving!
