As of late, photography has been piquing my interest. I’m a visual person, so anything with bright colors and a fun composition grabs my attention.
The photos I take I don’t really consider “artistic” as it’s just more of “documenting life” in a way for me. Seeing other peoples’ photography is more exciting, and it can even be fun being the model every so often.
For an infrared series, my brother’s girlfriend Taylor took a bunch of photos of me and my brother using an infrared camera. As many times as she described to me, I still didn’t understand how these photos would come out. I was shocked seeing my skin so porcelain white, and how blue my hair and eyes would be. That was pre-edited.
After bringing this photo into Photoshop, we played with the hues. I couldn’t pick a favorite, so we put together a little photo set.
It’s kinda wild what some cameras can do that don’t involve you adding loads of filters in Photoshop to get the effect you want. After doing some Google-ing, I’ve found infrared film, so once I research that more I am so going to test that out in my toy cameras.
I can already tell this summer is gonna be a blast with the amount of photography I plan on experimenting with. Bring on the summer and all hail infrared! 🌞 🌞 🌞
