Being a big fan of pop culture, I figured I’d create a weekly post Entertain Me Monday, which I think will be fun. What better way to start it off than to talk about American Horror Story.
The other day I was browsing through the web, and realized I’ve been a little out of the loop with American Horror Story. The past two seasons – well, I didn’t finish them. I seemed to have been affected by Thanksgiving break. Two weeks can make such a difference for me, and I just tend to forget my shows exist when they’re off the air for more than a week.
So I kinda feel like I shouldn’t have an opinion since I haven’t gotten around to finishing Coven and Freakshow. BUT, I’m going to express anyway that I’m bummed Jessica Lange won’t continue. I do remember reading she didn’t want to return after season two, and yet she did. This time seems more sincere, and it’s a bummer because she was what made American Horror Story amazing.
I should probably finish those two seasons before expressing more disdain for this, but I can have opinions about Lady Gaga being in season five, right? Is it harsh to say that this seems like she’s trying jumpstart her career after she hit her peak? This is a good way to pop back under the spotlight, especially since Freakshow had the highest ratings ever; Hotel will probably break tv.
There’s plenty of time before October rolls around, so it’ll probably be a while till more information will be released about the new season. I’m feeling The Shining references will be a thing. Or maybe not. Jessica Lange may even decide to come back! I guess we’ll see.
